Record No.6 Bench Vise. Anybody know anything about them

Just scored an old 8 inch Record No.6 bench vise for... wait for it FREE. Got it from the inlaw. It was in a fire but this thing is solid. A bit of rust and melted plastic or something on it. Made in England.
I was wondering if it can come apart. I want to sandblast it and paint it. These things last forever.

Perfect Airwolfie, just what i was looking for. I did a quick wire brushing on it to see how the jaws came out. Thanks

No problems. Sounds like they all disassemble the same, or that is how I read it!!

Ya for sure. They don't make em like that anymore. Been wanting to buy one for a while but the stuff they sell now is junk.

My buddy has a fairly good collection of those things. Even sold me one. It gets alot of use.

I scored a Wilton C3 a few years back for $25. Tore it down, blasted and painted it.

HUGE vice, but awesome vice.
