removing battery

can anyone give me some tips on removing my battery, and running with out one ?

i read that i might need some capacitors ?
im running led lights
and a smaller headlight if that matters any

any help would be .. helpful

Yes. You would need a PMA, Cam driven ignition and a 10,000uf 25v capacitor in the place of a battery.

where might i pick up a pma cam ignition ?
and are there any drawbacks ?

There's a comma there. They are separate. Do a search for batteryless.

Pamco and banshee swap

Morris magneto, but I don't know much about that system.

PMA = Permanant Magnet Alternator ... contact punkskalar ..... Cam driven ignition there are a couple of choices ... If you have points those are already cam driven ... another HIGHLY recommended upgrade is the pamco ignition ... if you have points you just need the upgrade kid, if you have tci you will need the kit for full conversion with the advance rod, advance plate, and related parts
