My butterfly shafts r worn slightly and new seals dident help,would installing oversize orings work,has anyone used o rings before.I guess as long as they dont make the throttle linkage hang up it should work in theoryThx

I would toss those carbs and replace with some EX 500 carbs. A nice set on Ebay off a 2002 $ 103.99 free shipping.
Even the special square seals from McMaster Carr didn't work well. there may be a fix for replacing the cast in place bushing, I have a "new" idea on that. The shafts are usually fine it's that bushing in the carb body that wears away.
