Just thinking out loud here, as I'm not looking to do this, BUT...
If all someone wanted to do was to add a switch to the headlight (or Tail light even), to manually turn it on...couldn't a toggle switch be added onto the headlight's yellow wire, before the bulb's 3 prong connection? (Or earlier I suppose to address the high-beam).
Then it wouldn't matter what the relay did or didn't do... it simply wouldn't come on until you turned it on (After the bike had started).
Seems easy enough if that's the goal.
