Any opinions about hugh's handbuilt permanent magnet alternator swap kit? Dependability factor is seductive.would rather ride than pull my hair out in the garage messing with electrical. Love the site, don't post much -but you are all appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don't pull your hair out and get in the garage and install Hugh's PMA kit as soon as you can---It's the best and it's simple---Your hair will fall out soon enough on it's own, the PMA will last---Do it --- tim

it depends on the year of your bike, if it is 80 and newer, you also need to add an ignition system.

You will need to change out the TCI ignition you have to a points sys. plus the advance or the PAMCO sys. plus advance---The preference for me would be the PAMCO sys.---If you do the Banshee and PAMCO your electrics will be top notch---tim

I am looking into this system as well. Can I use this with my 1981 Special with a boyer ignition?
