Wanted to pull the group on this issue. Per my other recent posts - I'll be test riding one of my XS's to see if the "flat spot" has been fixed, an issue I've been trying to resolve. Once I do, I will report back on that post so that I don't leave everyone hanging wondering what the problem was and how I fixed it per everyone's great suggestions.

Current issue - Upon idle, only one of my headers is getting hot (the left, wen sitting on the bike). The right header gets hot but it take a decent amount of time.

What I have done: Immediately thought it was a float issue. Adjusted floats to spec. Still didn't solve issue. Adjusted valves and cam chain, still did not solve issue. Next thought is timing. I'm thinking this might be the issue. Thoughts? Spark plug gave a spark but was a little dosed in gas before I closed her up for the day. Maybe replace the spark plug and or/ check coils?

Thanks - Vince

If it is only at idle then my immediate thought would be a blocked idle circuit.
Have a read of this, scroll down to Post 5 for the idle circuit
