Just an update for anybody that comes by and reads this.
I recently installed an electric ignition from pamco pete. It literally fixed all my problems. After cleaning/adjusting the points, adjusting the springs, lubing the advanced rod, correctly setting the valves, cleaning/syncing the carbs, and not seeing much better results... it fixed everything.
Not saying all these adjustment didn't help, because they did make a noticeable difference in how the bike ran. They just didn't properly fix the problems 100%. Thanks for all the help.
