Three days later took them out, rinsed in water, dried off and hosed them down with silicone. They felt like new. Put them away in parts cabinet. Looked at them today. Look great, no swelling, still soft and the cabinet still Minty fresh.
If I could get new ones for a reasonable price I would have bought them, I just thought this was worth a try. As always time is the final judge. If you notice in the pic below the spring on the one on the left deforms it. Before they both stayed round with the springs on.
