Hello, riding season here again, fired up my 1981 XS650 and 1980 XS1100, 1100 great ready to ride, my 650 on the other hand not so great, when parked in November running great, now runs, has power bands but no idle circuit as soon as I turn off the choke I can keep it running on the power band as soon I release throttle lose power until I open throttle again, I have to pull off carbs and clean up, any tips for what to look for while cleaning the idle circuits and rest of carb?
Thank you for your time and response.

Plenty of carb cleaner and blow through with an airline. Chances are they are gummed up with sitting.
Have a read through the web guide in the Tech Section too.

Hello, Today I removed the carbs (have not done since 2007 when I bought it) all looked good except when I removed the right side air jet dark brown gas came out of the port, cleaned and commpresed air all ports reassembled replaced needle orings, reinstalled, run and synced runs great again.
thank you for your time and response.
