I am looking for ideas where some of you folks mounted your coil on your bobbers. I am running a sporty tank and the coils will not fit in the stock location, looking for pics and ideas that would look good as well as function good too boot.

i used ground clamps found at home depot. they are alum. I polished them after this pic.

THAT is a GREAT IDEA !!!! I like the setup and style of that coil, not necessarily the location, I am thinking the down tube where the regulator was. Where did you source that coil ? Mine has both wires coming off ONE SIDE not out of the top like that one.

NEED to find one !!

THANKS ANGUS !!!!

Turbo, that looks like a Mike's dual output coil. That particular one runs about #35.00. Mine inexplicably failed, but I'm still not sure whether the coil itself failed, or whether it was an ancillary problem such as a bad connection/terminal, etc., that I might have corrected while replacing it, as I re-did the connectors. So, to be fair, I wouldn't go so far as to not recommend it. You may be fine with it.

TC I found it last night but it does not say if'n it'll work with pamco type ignitions, going to have to make a phone call.

COME ON GUYS need more pics !!!

im gonna mount it in the stock locale, due to heat. lots of room there now due to smaller, nicer gussets

i started this same exact thread a couple weeks ago cause i am at the same point in my build. Ember's solution was one of my favorites...

Mini thats wierd cause this time i actually searched before posting a thread knowing i couldnt possibly be the first to face this issue and found nothing. I like the low motor mount idea definately going to look into it.

Thanks !

If you use the Dyna Coils, you can fit them just about anywhere! On my latest rephase project, I have to have 2 of them, and these fit under the tank, completely out of sight
