Started working on my wife's xs, the story is this, bought it, rode it home, got 3/4 way back, started having electrical problems, limped it into the garage and ordered a pma and pamco kit, put it in and tried running it. Here's where the problems start, my carbs are the mikesxs performance carbs, they ran fine on the way home but after the new electrical they race the engine to all hell and back, just shut the bike off and "fiddled" with the carb settings. Then got the bright idea (and I still think it's the right one) to go with a single carb conversion, using one of the mikes carbs. Now, i have started the bike again using the stock jets, I know they wont work correctly, but I was expecting the bike to idle low, not race and backfire. I am new to carbs so where do I go from here? I'm not sure what the jets are now, but I figured since I'm running two cylinders I should go bigger. Any advice would be welcome. thanks
