Speedo Drive / Wheel connection

Hi guys - New build - never had this wheel and speedo drive working together. My Speedo drive isn't working. The drive itself is fine - if I turn it manually off of the wheel it turns the cable. Is there supposed to be a 'key' that is in between the wheel and speedo drive? Am I missing something? There look to be two indentations on the wheel and the drive. How is the wheel connected to the speedo drive unit? Thanks in advance!

Yes, on top of the bearing seal should be what looks like a large washer with tabs on it. If my memory is serving me correctly.

TNX figure eight! Went and checked an old wheel and found it. Problem solved....

Yes, the "drive" ring simply lays in notches in the hub with a stepped washer on top of it. Then the grease seal holds it all in there .....
