Stock front brake light switch info ???

Hey guys. Can anyone tell me which wires are for what ? There are 3 wires coming out and I assume one is ground, one is power in and one go's out to brake light. Am I close ? If so which is which ? Thanks in advance for any help.

80 chopped harness? what color wires? from where? not much info to work with guy

My bad. The front brake assembly is from an 80. There are two wires coming out of it. One brown, one green. There is no stock harness at all. Just the two stock wires coming from the front brake light switch.

I just need to know which is in and which is out. Or does it matter ?

Brown to a switched 12v source, green connects up with your rear brake switch wire and on to the taillight (brake light side)
