I am aware of the standard piston identity for the 256 engine, they are all 74mm pistons with three digits on the crown, mine are 950 so be 74.950 for both pistons standard, the liner/sleeves are printed 020 so the bores I believe are 75mm plus the 020=75.020, the question is, the direction arrow on each piston has on the left piston the number 1 digit by the arrow and the right piston has the number 3 by the arrow, is this just a weight tolerance identity of some sort ? Or what?

I found this pic in another thread, but it didn't answer what the "1" under the arrow is.

Until someone says otherwise:
I did a little further searching, and the consensus seems to be that it is just a manufacturing lot or I.D. number, and doesn't mean anything.
