The dream to build a bike and ride it at Sturgis was possible this year. And it was the 75th. Woo-Hoo! It took lots of blood and sweat but it sure was fun! I decided to run with a clear gas filter and clear gas lines. That was the best idea I had since I stopped several times to clean out my filter due to some residue in the tank. Lucked out on that one. The fun part was working on the bike in front of Mount Rushmore. Lol

Damn nice looking scooter, and I'm no hardtail enthusiast. I'd ride that all over close to home. (bad back) I really like the overall look & sensible bars.

Thanks man! Its really not that bad to ride for a hardtail. The 5" springs are set up pretty good. My girl like the rear seat also even tho its a little stiffer ride. Rode 600 miles at Strugis no problem.

We went up this year also however I had just finished my bike that week and wasn't plated yet so I took the Nightrod instead. i looked for some XS650 there but didn't see any. I knew they were there just not where I was apparently... I dont know if you noticed but there were a ton of women riders this year, I thought that was pretty cool.
