Years ago, I used to tear apart the engines on H-Ds and I've torn apart many car and lawnmower type engines, but today I learned that the slight oil leak around the jug and head on the left side of my XS has become a full blown head and cylinder gasket repair job and requires my attention ASAP.
Anyway, since this is my first venture into the inside of an XS, I was wondering if removing the top end while the bottom remains in the frame is an option? Or will the job of replacing gaskets require I remove the engine.
Either way, it looks as if my riding partner, Wooley, is going to have some parts to sonic clean.
