What a shame that the family either couldn't or doesn't want to keep it going. I wish I had crazy money, not to say I owned it, but to keep such a wonderful collection together.

:heart::whistle:

Look how cool this display is! To not only recreate Peter Fonda’s bike but also Dennis Hopper’s, and then display them with all the movie memorabilia. Damn! I’d build my living room around that! You know…..if I was single. 😆

In the 70's I used to ride past Hardy's shop on the way home Ben Hardy built the bikes. I stopped in a few times. Nice fella. https://archive.ph/jolb6 Vaughs' and Hardy together were the artists. We spoke about WL's and the long beach earthquake...kids walked in and out of the shop, he was like an uncle to those boys, showing them how to fix bicycles and so on.

I seem to remember that in those days of Los Angeles there was a large bike club, mixed race (still unusual) and they rode dressers. In those days everybody had a job... anyway I think Hardy and Vaughs were associated with that club.
