Throttle Cable for Amal Style Single Cable Throttle (and BS38s)

As the title suggests, anyone riding this combination? Did you have to go custom with your throttle cable? Or did something from Mike's or 650 central work alright? The Amal styles I have are the emgo 7/8, with the built in barrel adjuster.

I have a single cable throttle on my '80 with 38's. Once I routed the cable correctly it worked fine. It was just a generic replacement cable for a 1976.
