Does anyone have any experience using a Mikuni TM32-34 carb in a 2 into 1 conversion? It seems like a better carb than the VM32 and it has an accelerator pump.

The TM34 is too much carb for any 650cc XS engine. A pair will support as much as about 74 RWHP. Even the TM32 is iffy for a 650 though they are probably OK with a mild 750. And, if you have ones with Sudco jetting it is waaaay too rich. There is no doubt it is a better carb than the VM series, but you still need to assess whether your engine cares. How built is it? There's a lot of info on this site about how to make VMs work very well with XS engines with no meaningful loss of potential power, driveability, etc. I've seen dyno results that typically give a TM carbed race engine about 2 more HP than the same engine with well tuned VM carbs. This suggests essentially no difference with a street-friendly engine.
