I machined up a reed valve engine breather today. The base plate with the petal came up all right, but when I mounted the breather body underneath the petal plate on the drill press to drill the holes, table must have been off as the holes came out off to one side. I'll make another tomorrow, but this time I'll mount it on the mill to ensure the holes come out in the right place.
The breather outlet pipe exits underneath the body and will be connected to a catch can mounted behind the central down tube. The outlet pipe is only 10mm ID, so I hope it will be big enough.
Still have to make a bridge for the petal and perhaps a limiter.
The petal was cut from a pit bike twin reed I bought a while back.
The breather is plumbed thus.
