Ok guys ... 1977 motor in a bobber frame ...

Back side of the motor, above the pod air filters is what appears to be large vacuum nipples. On my bobber there is no type of filters on these inlets, and while the motor is running I can feel suction on these. I'm sure when the motor is in the stock bike this is filtered by the stock air box.

Should I be concerned that there is no type of filter over these vacuum inlets? What do other bobbers do with these inlets - just cap them off?

Thanks in advance for your advice ...

That is the crankcase breather, some people just run a tube to the bottom of the frame, some put a filter on to catch oil mist.
