So my bike will start in neutral but as soon as you shift it dies out . Also when the. Bike is in gear I can't turn the rear wheel at all with the clutch in. Do you think its clutch or is something wrong mechanically ? Any help would be appreciated .

If the bike is an 82 or 83, your problem is likely the "sidestand switch". The bike must be in neutral or the side stand in the up positon, otherwise the interlock disables the TCI.
Try unplugging the side stand relay, or repair the side stand switch.

Give us something to work with. Year, model and any mods done.Points or electronic ignition. Who's electronic iggy if so. Just happened or just bought and there it is. Reserch the topics to see if its happened to anyone else. Just sayin....
