So,

Last week I posted that I bought a 1979 XS650 with a yellow tank. I ready have a 1977 XS650 in MINT condition, but wanted another bike, to bring my total number of bikes to 3.

Well, the deal on the 1979 Yamaha fell through and Im glad. The seller was a dick and I ended up buying this:

A 1973 Honda CB 500F. Interesting thing about this bike: when it came out in '73 it was held in high regard. Though a 500F, it has 50BHP, the same power as my '77 XS650. This is what sold me on the bike.

My bikes:

'73 Honda CB 500F: https://www.instagram.com/p/BJDPcbQhw4I/?taken-by=j.jeffrey.wilde
'72 Honda CB 350F Brat: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIoV0AeBZtq/?taken-by=j.jeffrey.wilde

They may have the same power, but the XS will walk all over it.
Don't get me wrong; I'm a Honda SOHC4 fan and the 500 is a jewel of an engine (and the 550 was an upgraded version of it). Those fours just sing and are SOOOO smooth. But the XS has torque and will outrun a mostly stock 500/550. I know....I've owned and ridden both.

And, technically, there's no such thing as a 500F. The 500 came out in '71 and lasted through '73, then the 550 came out in '74.
You have a 500K, or a K2 (since it's a '73. K0, K1 and K2). The 550 did have an F model, but there were minor changes to the frame, tank, seat, exhaust, wiring harness, headlight, etc.
