Hey fellows :)
So i have a busted up mikuni bs38 set on my 77 custom 650D. I think i might go for an upgrade and get myself a VM34mm. Is that the correct size?
Oh and how much fork oil 15w should i put in each of my fronts?

have a nice day
Dwayne

VM34 will work, but the less commonly used VM32 is also a good option if you have a street motor without a displacement boost and other performance mods. Because the VMs aren't obstructed by a throttle plate and shaft, the VM32 gives a larger effective venturi than an OE BS34. It will also give slightly better fuel economy, low throttle performance, and easier tuning than the VM34. If you know how to tune or are willing to do your homework, go for it.

I've got a pair of VM34 on mine, courtesy of the PO. They run bloody well, and can return 60mpg (50mpg US) without trying very hard at all.
I never made a note of the jetting when I had them apart, though.
Only thing I don't like about the setup is the split throttle cable, but hey-ho.
