Pair of linked BS38s from a 76 XS650. These were disassembled, soda blasted and chem dipped. 2 new rebuild kits were installed and stainless allen screws switched in. Very clean, good runnng carbs.
One of the float bowl holes lost its threads and is repaired with the proper size helicoil, see pic. Float bowl still seals just fine, no leaks with the helicoil. These were bench synced and run on my 77 for about 50 kms and were perfect.
The diaphragms are starting to crack around the lip but test ok when tightened down. You could probably get away with using them for a quite a while before replacing.
Selling to pay off the Mikuni kit I just bought. I have three sets of BS38s and these are the first ones to be sold.
$150 US plus shipping OBO. I also have a nearly new set of JBM carb manifolds for these that I may be willing to sell along with these.
