Wanted - Want: xs650 KNOB for side cover

I was riding my xs650 79f standard and the vibrations made the knob, spring, and washer assembly rattle and broke off.

If anyone has one for sale let me know!
Either the plastic knob and / or the knob plus metal parts.

(I am still looking for a knob)

If your talking about the side cover knob mikes XS sells them.

I’m not a fan of this factory setup. Notice right side covers are often missing? I have. Take a 1/4 -20 thumb screw, jam nut, and star or ball knob. You’ll have to cut down thumb screw to size. Leave the jam nut on while you cut. So you can clean the threads when removing. This won’t come off. When you slide the thumb screw thru the slot, turn it perpendicular. Tighten down jam nut. Even if you loose a knob, they are cheap and at every hardware store.
