Got a weld-on tensioner for my build. Wondering if i should cope the uprights to fit the frame better.Or should i leave it as is?
My buddy is a welder and he thinks i should. I think no as there won't be any adjustment for the "sweet spot". Thoughts?

Yes! I did on mine.

Right on, didn't know if taking the 3/8 or so of an inch would change how it works. I see in monstercraftsman vid on installing the tensioner they don't but the tensioner i have is from bare knuckle choppers and it seems a bit wider on the base.
The monstercraftsman tensioner seems more tapered to fit the bottom cross member.
