Bought an XS1 and XS2 frame and a couple of engines and are stuck on what to build, wheels will be 19" mags front and rear combined with gsx forks. I was thinking either a hardtail bobber with a Ardcore style rear or a cafe racer.

Will be just a streeter, 750 kits, rephased and some lectrons

bobber or cafe, thoughts?

Well I am in the middle of a hardtail bobber build, asd I hav always wanted. However the next build will definately be a Cafe Racer.
I guess, have a think oabout what you want to do with the bike and tailor it to suit

Start poking around the Forums and see what sticks out! :poke:
You can always start shaving and stripping off what you don't need for a cafe and then switch over if it's not working for you!
In the end, it's gonna come down to what you want!

Have been playing around with CAD and frame designs, here is what I have so far

Does anyone have a CAD drawing of the 650 engine?

Std frame with Ardcore style hard tail

thoughts on these? I'm thinking the rigid cafe style purely to get the bike on the road soon and then build up a new frame with the slanted backbone for a bobber

That rigid brace will break without more supports for up and down, ie struts were the shocks go, and technically you can just use them, no need to weld the frame and swing arm
