what year carbs are these?

HI kbtoy here.Just got a set of carbs off of e bay.I was told they were 74? i cannot send any pics. But there are twin throttle cables 38 mm cv .The funny thing is there is only one choke. The other carb has no linkage and is not drilled for a choke. I am thinking that these carbs are not off a yamaha xs 650? Any help thinks

That would all be correct for a 74 they use one choke and feed the second carb a rich starting mix with a cross over tube

www.xs650.fi/pohja_files/fi/XS650carbs.htm is a very good listing of the BS38 carbs as used on the XS650 It can be a bit hard to read, it was translated from German to Dutch then to English. It has a few non English words but even if you don't understand the words the pics show the carbs very well.
