Which pamco?

Hey guys! Long time troll and have wanted to do a build. Finally getting to the point where I'm putting the bike together. My bike is a 1982 xs650. I am going bare bones and want kick start only. I bought the hughs hand built pma kit and need to pick the pamco kit bc it is necessary for the year motor, right? If so, is this all I would need or what do you reccomend. Thanks in advance!!!

That will work for you. A lot of people like the e advancer but I can't speak on it personally.

The pamco with the E-Advancer Eliminates the problematic mechanical advance is a better way to go. To save a few $ you can use your stock coil and buy a advance rod 2 pins and 3 bushings.

Be aware............The Factory ignition cams were not finished for the advance rod bushes. They need to be cleaned up and sized or the bushings may split the cam ends if they are forced into the cam

Still need the rod and bushings to mount the Pamco. Does away with the advance weights on the other end
