I've been doing some research and this appears to be what I need. Please verify for me if someone is certain im right or wrong.

Drag Specialties 2240:60 Which has been stated here as the ratio for Jap bikes. But it says for Harley.. so I wanted to double check.

Or would it be a 2:1 ratio????

Im looking for a mechanical mini speedo with no trip meter.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Oh yea, symptoms... the speedo stopped working... Odometer still works !

I went with a 2:1 emgo speedo for mine. I google mapped the distance to a place and the speedo was pretty accurate, about .5 miles off for a 20mile ride. Haven't checked it against gps mph though.

My 2:1 mechanical from mikes is pretty accurate as well. Without a trip, mule will you know when to stop
For gas?

The tach and speedo look great from Mike's, but after about 4000 miles both quit working. I am putting the Yamaha speedo on without a tach.

Well, its never this easy. When I went for a ride last night to heat up the pipe wrap again....and get some gas, thanks for the reminder Angus.... I noticed on the bottom of the face of the speedo it is printed very clearly.

2240 RPM at 60 mph

It appeared to be accurate before it broke per several checks with friends in cars, so I'll probably get this one. The needle did always bounce around a lot though, so maybe that was a symptom it was going...it always did it since I got the bike though. I just dealt with it. I'll probably order the 2240 version and see what happens.

I'll let you all know the results.

Thanks everyone
