I got my tracker seat today and have an idea how I would install it based on the diagram but does anyone have photos of the tabs they welded on to attach this seat to the frame?
Question... I bought a great bench seat from Wes at Counter Balance Cycles. But I want to keep the rear fender because it rains a lot here in Panama.
The deep wheel-well curve of the original fender is not allowing the bench seat to sit flush with the frame.
Any suggestions?
I have thought about...
- pounding down the fender metal in the area where the they meet
- cutting out the area where they meet and weld or rivet back a flat piece
- ordering a blank flat 6.5 inch fender from Ebay. Figure the lack of the wheel-well will help
Before modifying your fender, take a measure on how far you shocks travel up and down and the easy way to do that would be to measure the free length of the exposed center rod.
Then remove shocks and move wheel assembly up that distance.
Now you know how much room you have to play.
Don't want the tire hitting any new fender configuration.
My shocks have about 3" to 3.5" of travel for instance.
