Wanted - xs 650 motor running

I just bought an 82 650 to find out the starter drive is all bad they tell me its better to replace the motor than try to fix cost wise I'm pretty new to this but I'm just taking my mechanics word I'm located in southwest Missouri and can travel to pick up the motor

Why don't you just do the work yourself? Save yourself the money pop the case covers off and take a look for yourself.

rich, you're gonna have one for sale? when is it going to be done? what year is the motor, what kind of carbs does it have?
