XS 750 rear wheel onto an XS 650?

Thinking about converting my tracker to a cafe style, and would prefer to run 18" wheels on both ends. It has 19s on both ends right now...
I found an 18" XS 750 rear, and an RD 400 18" front, so I'm trying to figure out the mounting issues.
Any past experience or suggestions would be much appreciated!

If by XS750 you mean the triple, good luck with that. It was a shaft drive bike so has no provisions on the rear wheel for mounting a sprocket.

You should be able to find a stock 18'' for the rear easy enough . Spokes or mags ?

A 73-74 TX750 rear wheel is plug and play. It has about a 1" larger diameter drum brake. Not too many of those are around.
The swing arm is also bolt on it's stronger with larger Diameter tubing.

TX are scarce up here in the frozen north. They were not a big seller.

I have mags with discs both ends now, and would like to keep the same look.

Put it up in the classifieds , mags are easier to find than spokes. Not sure if any other model Yamaha has an 18" mag that fits but someone on here should be able to tell you.
