I may have one kicked around in my garage here in Ontario, Canada. I can take a look later and confirm for yea what condition it's in

...chrome reflector covers for a 1970 XS1, part number 256-23122-60

Just an FYI.
For the years 1970-1973, those covers all look similar, which they aren't, and I'm seeing 4 different part numbers, with some discrepancies for the XS2 and TX650. I have no idea of how to tell them apart.

256-23122-60 = XS1, XS1F
256-23122-61 = XS1B

275-23122-60 = XS2
286-23122-50 = TX650

I'm borrowing these pictures from scobman, The XS1 were larger due to the tapered fork ears and only had a round threaded mount for the reflector to screw into, compared to the XS1b, which had a smaller diameter and a "door" shaped reflector mount. Unfortunately being a 1 year, 1 model only part makes it tough to come by.

i think your looking for rockinhorse shit .dosnt exist. your gonna have to fab them up. get 55mm washers spin the guts out the middle in a lathe to fit over your fork tubes . then get 55mm thin wall tube braze it to the washer cut it off to size .slice the back section out of it .smooth the brazing out around the top .drill holes for the reflector nut to fit in .the nut has a washer as part of it. send them in to get chromed .then from the inside out JB weld the nut on the inside poke the nut section through the hole .you should only have the washer side visible on the inside of your cover . you will pre measure your reflector stud and cut it to length. no one will know the difference .thats how i made my xs2 covers. the washers are 4 mm thick so plenty of meat to make a nice rounded shoulder.. cheers hope this helps.

I have a brand new set of oem stays, still in the yamaha packaging, 1973 with no reflector mounts.
Nice smooth shiny chrome,
1973 shock stays did not have reflectors but are identical to the 1972 shock stays on the xs2.
