I am moving ahead on the XS1 project. Are there any alternatives to Mikes XS stock appearing shocks? The painter is breathing down my neck, I gotta have shocks to paint.
I would check into Hagons. They make a lot of vintage looking shocks including covered ones. Another option is to remove the spring covers from the originals and transfer them to what ever new shock you get. I do this with my old BMW shocks. They came with nice polished alloy spring covers which I transfer to the new shocks .....
