XS400 exhaust

So i wanted to see how my xs400 would sound if i cut the mufflers off so I did and now its super loud, and not a cool sounding loud haha. My questions is what should i run muffler wise to give it a aggressive sound with out being VERY VERY high pitched loud? Im building a bratstyle bike so anything that would look good on it would be cool. ThankGuys

i would love to go with something that looks like straight pipe but i dont know if I have that option

How long are the pipes? If you run them back a little it will sound better. Keep them shot guns though, the small bores sometimes are not that good with big ends. I would say at least to the rear axle. You'll be suprised, I had a 750 tripple (only 250cc per cyl.) with those, it was brutal. If they are really sort they can sound crappy. The worst thing I've heard is a megaphone with the baffle out.
