Just wanted to let every one know that a voltage regulator and rec.off of a xs400
(they are small and easy to hide on a bobber/chopper) will work on 80 charging system
charging at 13.6 at idle and 14.8 at 3000 don't know if they cost less or not just had one and tried it.plugs are dif. will have to change the conectors or just wire in.hope it helps.
