so far from my own research i have found some engines specs and 2 different posted compression ratios for the 1981 xs650. i would like to know all of the technical specs if possible. i have searched this forum and others and have come up inconclusive for data.
These are what i have found:
75mm bore
74mm stroke
compression height 38.2mm/51mm to the top of the dome
deck height 8.1 inches
rod length 5.11 inches
giving a deck clearence of .05 in
Ive found absolutely no data on the size of the combustion chamber and i havent found any data of the displacement of the dome.
head and base gaskets are another piece i have found mixed data about. Mostly because i think the new gaskets are thicker than the OEM gaskets.
so any OEM gasket, cylinder head , or piston data would be useful to me if youre willing to share.
