I would like to have a go at my first bobber chop but can't find anything to start with

Anyone have anything, or no anyone, or any ideas?

Hey Snoogal! Keep visiting ebay, Took me six months before I found my "bargain" box case! It was cheap, but the amount of cash I have thrown at it so far it would have been cheaper to have bought a runner! Saw some lovely ones go for dirt cheap. Once, if I had a spare £900, could have gotten a hardtail ready to go bar electrics!

Take your time, something will show up. Anything before 1979 that you want to chop up, you will get crucified! They too rare and nice usually to hack up!

I get where you are coming from with that. I've seen nice bikes at £2500, and bits of bikes for £1200

THink I may just go all in on a bike I like, road ready

Any good sites apart from ebay, biketrader, etc?

Might be worth throwing him an off there, but I would check it out first. Making sure the engine AT LEAST turns over. Don't trust "has been rebuilt", it probably hasn't. Lots of things to look for. Read this: http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=367
