How to make a '77 LH switch work on a '73?

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a left hand switch for a '77+ work on my '73?

I had to use a Suzuki switch on my 72 as I couldn't get a replacement yamaha one ,the suzuki one looks very much the same but has a few extra wires which were for a headlight flasher and maybe self cancelling indicators .
I just used the wires I needed which on mine and yours are just lights ,horn and indicators and just cut the rest off ,works very well.
