1000cc XS650 on the dyno..
Done a bunch of street Wiseco 750 and some from MIKES here in the US but never took one to the track to see what times it would pull. 11.4 is a good time for a two cylinder that matches up very close to a stock GS1100 which i have run on the track here. I would like to see a picture of one if anyone has it to see if it is stretched and lowered and in a stock frame or a Drag Frame big difference.
From what I hear the 1000cc are generally stroked 840cc motors.
David over here in OZ isn't doing his 840cc kits anymore. He was producing his own pistons to fit the 447 motor which had the correct pin height making 840cc available for the 447 motors. The other 840cc kits were to suit the 533 motors. Halco in England sold these 840 kits for competition and they used modified Suzuki SP370 pistons.
I'm thinking it be way too expensive to really be worth it for a daily rider.
Isuzu Trooper pistons (87mm) have the right pin height for 447 rods (close enough anyway). You can pick up a new set of four, with rings, for $50. I haven't figured out where to scavenge used cylinder sleeves but even with new sleeves you could piece together an 880 for a few hundred bucks.
If only it were that easy.... I'm not saying that what you speak isn't the truth, but I have a feeling that the trooper pistons aren't going to just swap in with new sleeves and a bored case.
Look what younhave done........ Now I'm going to have to do some research...
It sounds like it is expensive and potentially problematic.
I may give it a miss.
Doesn't Cowboy run a turboed Xs that runs in the mid 10's?

So will Ross Pistons, little over $100 a pop, minimum order 4.I'm not sure if people know this but Venolia will make you whatever size piston you want for your XS. They kicker is that they are 300 bucks...... each.

Welded crank a must and 3 speed trans HUH! Cut the dogs on the trans or stock. What does it run without the juice? JUST TURBO. NOT STREET ABLE JUST TRACK CORRECT.
I am concerned about TRANS and clutch basket with high horsepower out of a XS 650. Maybe nothing to worry about but i have seen CB 450 motor explode the basket. I use to own a factory Honda 305 road racer that we bought from overseas from Honda and that had a weird 6 speed trans in it and i was always thinking that that would come apart with that little basket and never did.
