Block59 wow that was some crazy heat to do all that. Hope you had insurance. Sad pic of two bikes standing together after a tragedy. It's like an artist pic that shows you the peace the two bikes had standing together and still stand together after devastation. :)

I hope I have the pics uploaded correctly, this is my '81 special chopper. All the fab and paint work I did myself.I have replaced all electrical componets including wireing harness except hand controls.Charging system, and Pamco ignition from Mikes xs,Thunder Heart wire harness with control moduel that replaces all relay's.I have an 8" over springer from Demons cycles w/stock wheel, fender, and handle bars.I relocated the shocks aft 2" to lower and give softer ride. The air intake pipes do have filters in side and were made from auto exhoast pipe.I raised the front of the tank about 2" to give a nice line from tank to seat and the coil is mounted on top of the back bone out of sight.I cut the front of the tank down to match the angle of the risers and closed the tunnel down to the frame. The center brake light is molded into the back rest,I wired the rear turn signals for brake lights also. The color is a custom 3 stage, base is black, then transparent asure blue w/royal blue flakes, then clear, wet sand, clear, wet sand and polish.:bike:

thats very tasty Conrad... lovely job:thumbsup:

Lots to admire about the bike especially the themed colour frame but the bit that caught my eye is that seat ....that would be a really useful lower back support for my weary bones .:wink2::bike:

What;s left of my two XS650's after a fast moving brush fire cane thru.

christ! thats something we don't have to contend with in the UK thank god.
I don't know how you'd come back from that. Losing one bike is bad enough but both !.... strewth

Thank you guy's,Twomany, the legs are straight and true, the bike handles so good you would have to ride it to believe it.My home is 1 mile up a gravel road on top of the mountain,I can coast down with no hands.Peanut,I have degenerative disc deases and have 5 herniated disc's.Lower back support was a big part of the design of the seat and I never liked the idea of a hard tail.I know it's easier and cheaper to build hard tails but removing comfort from your ride just don't make sence to me.I cant ride more than about 1 or 2 hundred miles in a day with out paying for it but I'm comfy while doing so.:bike:

Weldfan,I like the fallowing of a theme threw out a bike,so I'm digging what I see on your bike.I just love seeing all the custom bikes on this forum, and reading the stories on how the builds are done.:bike:
