Hey all...first post on here. This is my second xs650 I've built. The first one I had a bunch of help and left it raw which was a lot easier. This one I did a lot of learning and tried to do as much as I could by myself with the tools I have. I'm pretty far along now so there's going to be a bunch of pics.

VERY clean frame lines, love the VI brat kit, exactly what I'm trying to accomplish with mine!! Love the coil mounts too, that's a good shot there. Also, excellent polishing job, care to share your techniques???

This is where it was last week but I sprayed the paint on too thick on the axle plates so I'm fixing that. I can't get full shots, I'm working in a tight room in my basement.

Thanks man! Yeah, Mike (visual impact) is a great guy. He actually gave me a lot of painting tips/advice from start to finish.

Here is a aluminum license plate bracket I made. I don't do a lot of aluminum and my welds aren't that great (well not that great on any material). I was able to get it without warping and shaped it up pretty nicely. Here is also the headlight bracket before I smoothed out the welds before chrome. Not sure why these are posting sideways???

Yup, all the black I painted. Primer, base, and clear. The only thing I had powder coated was my rims. Are you trying to see a specific part of the mounts? I have more pictures but they don't look much different.

Just mainly interested in what you did on the bolt sleeves. I'm guessing you just turned them down some to clearance the bolt head?

Also, any tips on polishing, what steps do you take??
