id go with a "die my darling" design. it would look better on a bike being more of a graphic than a photo like the kennedy design.
but really why not do something other than misfits, not that the misfits werent sweet or anything (well at least old misfits were sweet, everything after danzig is wack shit), it just seems like its going to end up being a "theme" bike, not sure i would do it, but to each their own, do what you want i guess.

I agree that the Kennedy one definitely lacks taste. But that may be the look you are going for. I personally don't agree with anybody utilizing the image of a president being shot for personal or business use, but that's why we have freedom of speech. Ain't America grand!? I personally watched a good friend of mine beat the shit out of someone for having a similar tastes in reference to the American flag. I'm sure this guy thought it was cool to have anti america propaganda plastered all over his station wagon, but in the end is it worth having your teeth knocked out by a former Marine SOC that spent four years in the sand box to defend your right to be tasteless????
I don't want to get into a political debate.
Just my two cents.

Go with the 2nd one. There's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion, but it would suck to come out and find your pride and joy smashed to bits on the ground.

Of course there's probably a couple other politicians that it would be ok to depict in their death throws.

The message of this thread seems to be there are quite a few psychos out there who want to manage your business, about as well as they manage their own. ;)

Certain images/phrases/words invoke strong feelings for some people. People have lost sons, brothers, friends, parents, etc. There are also some out there that take for granted what a great country we get to live in, all be it from perfect. If a person choose to say/do something offensive they must be willing to accept the possible consequences. Sometimes these consequences are by no means fair but such is the world and I hope it is worth it. In the end all of us are "getting our business managed," they're called laws, ordinances, taxes, social norms, etc.

Either one could get your bike burned to the asphalt. I can remember JFK getting shot, so I don't care for that one. No, I would not strike a match to your ride if you did paint that on your bike. I served in our forces so you could paint your bike any way you want. If someone is offened of your bike they don't have to look at it twice.

I agree with patch. Say whatever you want, but be prepared to accept the consequences. Accept responsibility for your own actions. Nice way of saying, if you talk the talk, walk the walk.

Ok so your original question is "do u think people would be offended?"

After thinking about this further, I came to these conclusions:

If you have to ask that question then the answer is: Yes.

Also, that there is no way that you wouldn't think that someone would get offended about it. People were offended whenever the Misfits put that cover out there.

So, why are you really asking the question? To get people stirred up online? To seem like you're on the cutting edge of some guys on a forum? Or what?

I'm not particularly offended by the covers, maybe if I was American I might feel differently (the JFK pics doesn't really show any class IMO), but I'm wondering what's more important to Motorbreath, the statement the pic makes or his bike. It only takes one yahoo that doesn't believe in free speech to smash up his ride and he's back to square one building a new bike.

To answer the original ?, yes I think some people may be offended, but really it's not that hard to offend some people. Does it matter if you offend someone - not necessarily but at some point you may have to defend your point of view.

It's your bike do what you like!

Both are in bad taste IMHO, this style inc - swatstika's etc show no real imagination/individuality....have a think about what your advertising here...

Cheers.

Do what you want, just make sure you're punk enough to whoop some ass if someone gets in your face about it. If I was Glenn Danzig and I saw this thread I would tell you you're not allowed to have it on your bike because you asked if people would be offended....that's not punk rock.

The Kennedy one would be in bad taste, but at the end of the day it is what happened. The second is just what ever you want it to mean. Not my cup of tea, either of them. Would i smash them, no, but i would judge the owner of the bike by them and would probably not invite him on rides with me.

Then again it's your bike and you have rite to do as you please.

Captain America and Billy were killed because of a redneck attitude. Hippies were bashed up for having long hair........the list goes on.

Mind you the swastika has been given the bums rush because people associate it with Hitler and the death of 3 million Jews. In fact it has been used for hundreds of years by different civilisations before and Hitler stole the design.............
