A lot of talk about vibrations, I've got a 75 she'll spin in a circle on the center stand revving but on the road no, I'm not gettin it? Maybe my ass is asleep. WTF?

Sounds right.
How's the image in the rear view mirror @ 55? Mph, not years.
Regarding vibrations...this XS2 I have (found it June '22) is a bit buzzy at highway speed, so my plan is to go up a tooth on the front sprocket and then maybe down a tooth or two on the rear. 18 front and 30 rear? ... should bring the rpm's down on the highway. I spose there's a thread on here somewhere about sprockets/gearing...

Mine is smooth between 65 and 75mph. Never counted the teeth on the sprockets, though.

5twins posted a ratio chart the other day and I'll be dogged if I can remember where.
I've played with the 18T front sprocket and now it hangs on the barn wall, played with a 32T rear and it's up there too. 17/33 seems to be the best according to some, might be.

They,re bouncin, but they,re not stock. Cheapies from mikes, rusted in 6 mounths. I,m not getting the shake. A good run down the state road she,s just smooth. Stock suspention, front and back are shot have been forever. Fun in the turns at speed. Conti blitz tires, 2 up on the front and if failing memory is correct 4 down on the rear. Still runnin down the road she's smooth I just do,n get it.

I have low bars. My hands tingle in 30 minutes. I rode my son's bike with slightly higher bars in the Ozarks. My hands didn't tingle. I am shopping for higher bars.

I have two TCI Specials. One has OE pullbacks and 17/33 sprockets. The other has T140 replica bars and 17/34 sprockets. While driving either bike on state highways and country lanes, the image in my mirrors is clear. The state of tune in both bikes is excellent. Somewhere north of 4000 rpm in 5th gear, either one will get buzzy. It happens at higher speed on the 17/33 bike. Typically, I feel these bikes running but I don’t describe them as vibrators. My usual preference is the 17/34 sprockets for the kind of riding I do. Speed up to 60 mph is just fine. Interstate 55 is off limits.

That’s a pretty big change from stock 17 / 34, Gotta be careful with a larger front sprocket, not a lot of clearance to the engine case, if you run a beefy chain ( such as an o-ring ) or you just let the slack get to be too much, your chain can saw into the case.
I ran 17 / 31 combo on my ‘77 which really brought the revs down at highway speed. It does rob some of the off the line snap and when I was riding in the mountains, I had to downshift to fourth to pull steep grades. But other than that, it was a good ratio for taller gearing.

From a thread I wrote a while back, playing with some changes,

Harmonics?
Yamaha went from 17/34 to 18/36 for the cam drive................
Was curious about rear wheel drive. Pretty sure that in all my bikes, I've never paid attention to primary number count. Was curious why you'd want to?

Kevin, yes.
Takes a few trips around to hit the same tooth/tooth reducing wear and eventual harmonics.
Final drive may not matter since it's lower speed, cam to crank is important, 18/36 is idiotic.
