So I had some prior electrical problems that I hashed out and now the bike runs with a capacitor. But it will kill at a stop light when the head light is on. So I went to replace the capacitor with a battery and no spark?? I would imagine the battery would be a direct replacement no? I'm using a...
And the dumb ass award go's to me. I found the problem. The ground wire from the motor to the frame. I put new mounts on a didn't put the ground wire back on from the old motor mounts. Gezzz..... It's working fine now.
Me too. Now the battery is a direct replacement of the cap right. Sort of plug and play. Hooked up the same way as the cap? Or should it be wired up differently.
Update. So I Isolated the ignition with the battery hooked up no spark would not fire. So then I hooked back up the capacitor after a few kicks she fired right up. Then checked my voltages to the head light 30-40 volts. It was not the reg/rect.
Okay. So I replaced the capacitor with a battery for testing. I now have 12 volts to the headlight, taillight both can be on and work just fine. I checked the voltage on everything and I have 12 volts. I double checked my wiring and everything looks right. The key and kill switch all work as...
