    650 big bore

That's good to know. After spending some time talking to Gary Hoos yesterday I am leaning towards going with him for everything. Mainly because there's someone there to talk to and that can answer questions.

    650 big bore

Thanks for the tip. I just called him. Lots of trick stuff, also really knows his stuff. Probably a better way to go.

    650 big bore

That's good to know about the crank. Sounds like a lot of work for basically nothing. Its not gonna be a chopper and no peanut tank.

    650 big bore

Thanks for the input. It will be on a total custom bike so the different look will just add to the creativity of the bike. My dad is going on 80 so I doubt its going to see much abuse but I will keep the welded crank in mind. I was actually considering a phased crank anyway, so that would be an...

    650 big bore

So I'm fairly new to the XS650 world, I'm into two strokes, specifically RDs and TZs. My dad however is into XSs, He builds about one bike a year in various configurations and always with stock motors for the most part. For his next bike I told him I want to help him build a big motor. I'm...

Aftermarket Aluminum swingarm for an XS650

They are a nice looking swingarm, no doubt about that. But the pics I saw of them on a bike it looked like the shocks were near vertical. I would hate to cut and weld on such a nice piece. That's why I think I'll go the used route. The Cal-Fab one I found is a nice looking piece as well.

Aftermarket Aluminum swingarm for an XS650

Yeah, I've thought about those. He really wants aluminum. I found a CalFab one from an RD400F that might work with some minor reworking. Seems strange that with all the aftermarket parts out there that nobody makes one specific to the XS. I build RD350s and there's everything imaginable out...

Aftermarket Aluminum swingarm for an XS650

Hello, I'm new to the XS650 world, in fact I don't even have one or build them, my dad does and he is about as computer illiterate as they get. I'm looking for a drop in aftermarket aluminum swingarm or something that can be made to work relatively easy. The Motolanna one is not an option...
