I have looked over the material on the stock carbs that came on the XS-650 and how there are stampings to id them. The Carbs on my bike, which I am now calling my Frankenbike as it looks like someone in the past did things to it..., do not have those stampings. If I can figure out how to do...
The needle on the pistons has several places where you can place the circlip into. The Clymer manual says that you move that circlip up and down on the needle to rich or lean the mixture. The adjustment means taking the top off the carb and pulling the piston to get at the needle.
The big one is the choke communication line. The smaller one is the fuel communication line. The fuel line makes it so that both carbs have access to fuel even if only one petcock is giving fuel to them. It is vitally important that both of them be hooked up between the two carbs. Since the...
