I used round bar from Home Depot. Just bent it where I wanted it to go.:thumbsup:

The clamps were the easy way out. I had intended to mount the coils on the down tube behind the motor, but liked the way they tucked under the tank. Not sure what you might mean by over kill, please elaborate.
I've been building off and on for a year. Getting and making parts as i can afford it. I just finally finished and at the suggestion of my two friends, that are building XS's also, put up a build thread. My hope is that it will help others.
My youngest stayed up late the night i finished assembly. She just had to hear it run. I think it came out nice. It's a fun ass ride. So tell me what y'all think. :bike:
While that was all drying I taped off the wheels and engine for paint. They came out pretty good for my first paint job. Used VHT high temp gloss on the motor.
